I refunded the Steam purchase and now Im at a dead end. I even bought Dead Space 2 on Steam to see if the issue persists and it does. Other origin games like Battlefield 1 are running fine, but for some reason none of the Dead Space games are working. I hope you can solve your blackscreen issue too. There the video options only looked like this: I opened the registry file in the documents folder and searched for. Dead space 1 and 2 black screen on launch. One in the game folder, under "steamapps/common/Endless Space 2" and the other one in my documents folder, under "documents/Endless Space 2/Users/8numbers". I know you have thought the solution was to remove any peripheral devices such as controllers etc but i dont even have any connected i have a wireless reciever which i use for xbox 360 wireless controller but i havent had it plugged in. I found 2 endless space II related registry files. i5 3210m gtx 670m 4Gig Ram Dead space has not been able to launch from origin since i bought it on release. Hi Aphareus i had the same issue and tried the same troubleshooting tips and nothing helped.
